„Geoinformatik 2009 - benefits for environment and society“ takes place on march 31th - april 2nd 2009 in Osnabrueck. The conference is sponsored by con terra GmbH, Muenster, Germany. Hosts of the cenference are GiN e.V. ( Verein zur Förderung der Geoinformatik in Norddeutschland and the Universities of Muenster and Osnabrueck.

Geoinformatik 2009 aims at gathering researchers from academia and
industry to meet and discuss the achievements of past years and set the
interoperability research agenda. In addition the conference aims to
expose the state of the art Geoinformatics. Participants of
GEOINFORMATIK 2009 will be part of an international audience of
interdisciplinary researchers and industry leaders that shape the future
of GI science.
Geoinformatik 2009 offers an English and a German track - lectures, workshops and panels.
